Welcome to Television Treasures

Favourite television programmes of years gone by

Television Treasures is a web-site dedicated to those favourite television programmes of years gone by that we remember with real fondness.

If Charlie Brooker is to be believed then there’s no television worth Treasuring and Harry Hill sees comedy treasure in almost all television.

Good examples of Television Treasures are programmes such as Star Trek, The Saint, Fawity Towers, Porridge and Dads Army; these programmes will always be watched when repeated or bought on video or have their fans demanding spin offs, re-makes, movies and returns or re-inventions.

Then there are programmes that have returned such as Star Trek The Next Generation, Return Of The Saint, The New Avengers, Lewis, In Sickness And In Health . . .

And others where much loved supporting characters return; Frasier from Cheers, Boyce and Marlene from Only Fools and Horses, Lewis from Inspector Morse . . .

And finally what about those one off shows or series that weren’t that popular but still have a following campaigning or just wishing for their return or release on DVD . . .

Such as The Questor Tapes, The Adventures of Don Quick, Blake’s Seven, The Prisoner, Sapphire and Steel.
